1. I would love to know how he began working with Wayne and when.

James' Answer

I was working with Margaret Becker when I first met Wayne, Margaret had finished a tour and was taking some time off. Kip Summers was Margaret's band leader and secured an audition with Wayne for the entire band. I worked with Wayne for about 8 months in that capacity. At the end of that time, Wayne decided to try touring with his own band and hired me to put that together. We worked with that format for two years. Wayne then decided to try an acoustic approach, something a little closer to the original conception and writing of his songs. I had never pursued or even owned an acoustic guitar, so it was a little outside my comfort zone. After much encouragement from concert-goers, I began to be a little more comfortable with this format and have now really grown to love acoustic guitar almost as much as electric. I also have fun with Blues harmonica, Irish Low whistles and Djembe'.
